For those who are seeking the skills to become qualified to be able to provide first aid in the workplace during an emergency, then this Emergency First Aid at Work Course may be precisely what you’re looking for. Designed for people of 16 and over, this course provides the skills to deliver first aid to someone who experiences an injury or illness in the workplace.
This course can help companies and organizations which require someone to hold an active emergency first aid at work qualification to meet their first aid needs assessments. It can help learners develop the skills they need to play a practical role in first-aid emergencies, as well as the confidence to be able to respond to injuries and medical conditions that are encountered in the workplace.
This course teaches a range of skills to help those who are unresponsive (whether breathing or not breathing), having a seizure, choking, bleeding, experiencing shock, or have sustained a burn. It also provides the skills needed to assess and monitor casualties, to get further help for those who need medical attention, and to effectively and accurately report and record accidents.
With these skills, learners will be qualified to renew their SIA license and to actively provide emergency first-aid assistance in the workplace, including the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and the control of substances hazardous to health.
